with the Planet Hollywood

Teen USA 2008 at the beautiful Atlantis Paradise Island Resort on August 16, 2008. The 18-year old winner is from Hamburg,
Arkansas.

| | "Days of Our Lives" star and former Miss Teen USA 2004 Shelley Hennig joined
Seth Goldman of NBC's "Entertainment Buzz" to emcee the pageant, and female R&B local sensation TaDa performed.
The judges for this year's competition included: Alina Shriver, Founder of Shriver Art; Farouk Shami, Founder and Chairman
Farouk Systems; Heather Kerzner of Kerzner International; Alicia Bridgewater, Bookings Editor at Cosmo Girl Magazine; Duane
Gazi, Director of Scouting and Development at Trump Model Management; Eric Parrinello, founder and owner of Bacchanalia Private
Dining in Overland Park, Kansas; David Dzanis, Vice President of Coca Cola Client Services at Genesco Sports Enterprises;
and Seth Mayeri, Television Talent Veteran.
Throughout the event, the contestants competed in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview, and the "Top
Five" finalists were selected. Hilary Cruz, Miss Teen USA 2007, crowned her successor at the conclusion of this two-hour Miss
Teen USA pageant.

assume the duties of Miss Teen USA 2008 if for some
reason she cannot fulfill her responsibilities.

Miss Universe authorities confirmed on Nov. 27, 2007, that the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant will be
held in Vietnam. It will be the first time the U.S.-based pageant has been held in the Southeast Asian nation.

Mexico Apologizes for Jeers at Miss USA Rachel Smith After Fall Thursday , August 09, 2007 LOS ANGELES — A
Mexican tourism official issued an apology for the jeers aimed at Miss USA in May during an international beauty contest in
Mexico City.
Rachel Smith, the U.S. entrant into the Miss Universe competition, was booed by some of the audience after she slipped
and fell during an evening-gown competition. Her fall and the audience reaction briefly attracted international attention.
Gabriel Szekely, chief of staff for Mexico's tourism department, wrote in a letter that he regretted the "unfortunate events"
of the pageant.
"We understand the concern of the people of the United States about the incorrect behavior of a small group that attended
the event," Szekely wrote. "We apologize for the inconvenience, and be sure that Miss Rachel Smith will always be welcome
in Mexico." The letter was addressed to Los Angeles homeless activist Ted Hayes. It came after Hayes and a second activist,
David Hernandez, complained to Ruben Beltran, the city's consul general of Mexico. It has been forwarded to Smith.
The audience's reaction to Smith was thought to reflect Mexico's sometimes tense relationship with the U.S. The pageant
was held as lawmakers in the U.S. were debating immigration reform.
Smith was the fourth runner-up at the pageant. Miss Japan, Riyo Mori, went on to win the crown.

NBC EXTENDS ITS AGREEMENT WITH DONALD J. TRUMP AND THE MISS UNIVERSE ORGANIZATION TO BROADCAST
MISS UNIVERSE® AND MISS USA® PAGEANTS FOR THREE ADDITIONAL YEARS
New York, NY and Burbank, CA – March 28, 2007 - NBC has renewed its exclusive agreement with Donald J.
Trump and the Miss Universe Organization to broadcast the Miss Universe® and Miss USA® competitions on the network for three
additional years effective in 2008. Telemundo will also continue to broadcast the Miss Universe pageant as well as produce
a Spanish language simulcast and pre-pageant program.
The announcement was made today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment and Donald J. Trump.
"Under the auspices of Donald Trump, NBC and the Miss Universe Organization, there has been renewed interest
in these series of beauty pageants, especially among a new generation of younger viewers," said Reilly. "NBC is proud to maintain
this unique American cultural tradition as a viable series of competitive programming specials that continue to be a popular
source of family entertainment."
"Beauty pageants have been redefined by the Miss Universe Organization," said Donald J. Trump. "With each passing
year our ratings continue to get better because of the beautiful and intelligent women who participate in our competitions."

The March 23 telecast of "Miss USA 2007" (2.2/7 in adults 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) was the time period's
top-rated alternative to the NCAA Basketball Tournament in 18-49 and total viewers. "Miss USA" was also the night's #1 telecast
among women 18-34. The July 23, 2006 telecast of "Miss Universe 2006" was number #1 for the night (3.2 rating, 9 share in
adults 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall) was the #3 primetime program of its week in total viewers and #5 in adults 18-49.
"Miss Universe" also ranked #5 for its week among women 18-49 and women 18-34.
